THE FIRST MUSEUM OF JERSEY HISTORY OPEN HOUSE

The MUSEUM OF JERSEY CITY HISTORY (MJCH) will have an open house on April 30, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at its future home, the historic Apple Tree House, located at 298 Academy Street, just off Bergen Square, in Jersey City, NJ.

The MJCH Board of Directors officially formed in December 2021 and began planning the launch of Jersey City’s unique and innovative new home for historical representation and cultural exchange at the historic Apple Tree House. The board is committed to launching a museum that is inclusive and representative of all of Jersey City, with its diverse population and multifarious communities. The Board of the Museum of Jersey City History thanks Christine Goodman, Director of the Jersey City Office of Cultural Affairs, and her staff, for their ongoing cooperation and help.

The board of the newly established MUSEUM OF JERSEY CITY HISTORY (MJCH) invites all residents and people who work in Jersey City to join them at the Apple Tree House on Saturday, April 30, 2022. The afternoon will offer visitors art, music, historical exhibits, and house tours, and end with a lively discussion of the MJCH’s mission and prospective exhibition schedule and programming, beginning at approximately 3:00 PM. Coffee and donuts, too!

All are welcome to come and explore the historic house and contribute to the discussion about the future of the museum. This event is free and open to the public. The Apple Tree House is fully accessible. Parking is available behind the museum for those in attendance.

The flyer is white with a navy blue border. The top of the page is the announcement and details also going down the right side of the page. The left lower corner is a picture of The Apple Tree House.
